Default 100mm single too big for a 4.8 build?

Found a fresh 100mm in 130mm ex T4 that I was thinking about stuffing on a 4.8/5.3 build. Could care less about street friendly I just want to make power but thought to ask if anyone here thinks its too big? LOL like there is such a thing

No idea what the trim is

should work if you can keep the heads on. It will just have a ton of turbo lag.

What kind of power are you looking to make unless its free I would go smaller hell I only plan on using a 83mm s475 on my 6.0 and still probably won't max it out

I'm just wondering how much lag it would have if it were a race only build with 4-4500 stall, two step, and transbrake?

I'm considering something similar to this.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe it is a custom so the small cubes will spool it

Don't really see that being a good combination.

If you've got the cashola to build a 9500rpm 4.8, go for it. It kinda sounds like you may have gotten a free motor, a free turbo and spent all your money on beer though.

Is that 100 mm on the inducer or the exducer of the impeller? It makes a big difference

Nobody is saying not to try it, There are some questions reguarding the turbo as I for one have never heard of a compressor side that big with a T4 turbine side. If the turbo is as you listed I would think it would spool fine, it would also choke off on the turbine side before you got to use all of the capabilities of the compressor.

It may not in fact be a T4 I really dont know much about it Im merely regurgitating what the local ad says I havent even looked at it. But the price is good so I thought Id ask is all but the more I got to thinking about it the more I know I'll probably hate not having the ideal match in terms of expectation. If there one thing that drives my nuts is mismatched parts so I thought better of it. Besides on a boosted build spending a bit more on getting the right screw is money well spent as i see it. But I was dreaming for a day or two there
