Im hoping to get a Strange S60, Meth. Injection, 12psi KB Racing Turbo Kit, and supporting mods down the road.
Any guesses for 1/4 times as is?
more importantly...
If I'm roll racing what mph starting point would be best/give me the greatest advantage?
thanks!

Shit ill take a guess. In the fourth I think it can pull 12.6 to 12.9. That's also a pretty low weight. For a all steel four door car at least :). Shit my half not finished interior iroc weights more than ya!

Personally I don't think you're gonna be going anywhere really fast with the big, heavy, inefficient stock converter from the 80e.

I'm not sure about roll races but without a posi i have a feeling your going to be going nowhere fast...lost of power to 1 tire i dont think youll ever get traction. but with that light weight im sure low 13's

how does the 4L80E torque converter differ from the one in a 4L60E? big, heavy, inefficient?
it's around a 1600 stall for what ive been reading.

i would be more than happy to be in the low 13s without a locking rear. hopefully high 12's with a strange s60 and a solid gear ratio.
im still wondering the most efficient rpm/mph starting point for a roll race/ the only way ill have to race for a while lol

I think you;re going to have to drive the car, you want to get it where the trans downshifts for a roll race. I'd guess around 30-40 mph. but all car are different.

Not even close to each other. The 80e converter is a tank and one of the reason the 80e weighs so much more than a 60e. It's size is the reason for its inefficiency, a smaller aftermarket unit will be more efficient due to better stall, str and due to lighter weight.
The best roll speed will be determined by gear ratio, tire size, and power band of the engine. Like said you're probably just going to have drive it and figure it out. You're gonna wanna be at an rpm level where you are a couple rpm above peak tq, but not so high that you shift right into the next gear at wot.
