Default will a 4l60e fit an LT?

Hey guys can anyone provide me with info on wether an 4l60e fit an LT vette? Thanks in advance!

I'm sure both the 700r4 and the 4l60E were both in the C4 body vet's. I'm kind of confused on your question. I will say that with both transmissions in that car they did use a unique transmission case. If memory serves me correct it has a "V" or a "Y" on the bell housing. The inspection cover is a little different on these units and also the rear of the case is a little different as well. It requires a different tail housing for the torque arm as well. I'm sure a non vet case could be fabricated but the tail housing is the key for one of these units. I have two of them that I snatched off of Ebay if you need one. Just let me know. HTH Vince
