C5 Z06 wheels on WS6
Hi guys Newbie here,
Want to put my C5 Z06 wheels on to my 2000 WS6.. I am sure they fit and all but I got a question about the fronts/sizes etc....
Why is it that the WS6 front rim is 17x9 with a 275 size tyre and the Z06 is 17x9.5 with a 265 size tyre..same profile..what gives I dont get it, thought the bigger rim would have the bigger tyre???
Look forward to some answers..
Cheers,
Stuart..

I could be wrong but corvettes have 265 on the front.
I had 265s on my ss. They look funny. To small IMO. 275s look perfect on fbody.
265s look good on corvettes.
275/40 Is the right size for fbody.
I also had 285 on the same rim. Fits good but is to wide for the front

Ye your right .. the Corvette is a lighter car..now i've got an idea..! Might just take the 275's off the WS6 rims and put em on the Z06 rims.. job done!

I could be wrong but I think on T/As fit fine with no modifications needed.
On my ss I got 295/35 they rub alot on turns
The way to fix that is hitting or cutting the inner fender in case you need to modified to make them fit.
Is your car lowered?

I have a set of C5 Zo6s (17x9-18x9.5) on my 99 TA... No codes and I also run a 255 tire on the front. I found it makes the car less inclined to follow the grain of the road. I dont AutoX it or anything so the amount of grip isnt so important that I need the wider tire. It also handles better in the rain with the narrower tire. I still have 275s in the rear and my stance looks just fine...
