I've been driving my LS1 powered BMW for a little over a year now and its time for an upgrade.





I considered a few options. First was a nice head/cam combo from Texas Speed. I figured it would be around 400 real world hp at the wheels. I decided my goal is closer to 450whp, so on to F/I. I wanted to go turbo, but doing so and keeping the A/C is not possible, I'm an A/C guy so that was out. Which leaves me with a S/C. I bought a m112 on a deal and got to thinking. Here is what I have come up with.

and then did some more mocking up and measuring.

no cooler, hood clearance wont allow it. For my planned 6psi it shouldnt be a real problem and if it is, I'll use water/meth injection

You could also look at using an M122 off a GT500 for more hood clearance, they are rear side entry and pretty cheap on ebay. I bought one of those and have a Whipple lower manifold with the plans to do what you are doing but then I found a TVS2300 side entry head unit for cheap and will probably use it instead. I figured just mount the throttle body to the side like the GT500s. Cool setup, let us know the progress!

They dont sell them by themselves normally, not sure how the guy I got this one from did it. This one is an L92 manifold and I'd like to find any LS1 lower but never have seen one for sale.

I saw those, the down side is it doesnt have the injector holes.

I'de say I'll have the manifold done the middle of next week at the latest. Then there are a few more obsticals on the car like fuel rails, intake route and so on plus I need to buy injectors. Hopefully before the first of the year it will be running again.

The hard part of the project has been the manifold bolts. You need to get to them and boxing it all in would cover the bolts. I've come up with a plan that will work but I will have to use studs for the manifold and it will be TIGHT, but hopefully it wont have to go on and off too much. More pics tomorrow.

BTW, speaking of injectors, it there a table or graph on here somewhere to help me figure out which injectors I should be looking at with my goals?

What about mounting supercharger on top of the stock carb intake u had?i would imagine there might be good clearance issues,but I would think it would work!
