Ive searched the internet for about an hour now and I cannot find anywhere to buy a bone stock GM LS6 shortblock... Is it possible to get a hold of one or do they only sell them complete?

O Rly? Thats why all sites list their Blocks as LS1/LS6?
Sorry you want to argue "Bigger Windows between Cylinders"
Architecturally they are the same

Thanks for proving my point. They are not EXACTLY the same. I need the better oiling passages for road racing. And next time read the title. Im asking if you can buy an GM LS6 stamped SHORTBLOCK. Not just an engine block like 3 of the links you shared, or a forged engine. Im looking for a bone stock GM LS6 shortblock new.

then your best bet is to find one out of a wrecked GTO.
Only the 2005+ LS6's had different oil passages, pre 2005 they were identical to the LS1's GASP!!

For future searches an LS1 block is not a LS6 block. The LS6 block had additional holes in the block for better bay to bay breathin, something that will not be of much advantage unless you are running HPDEs or Road Racing.

Yes the LS6 block became standard on later LS1 motors.
