That's some good, albeit boring, news.

I agree very boring to us, but to many people safety is a deciding factor or influential in purchasing a car. Its good to know they're trying to cover all bases .

That's great news but it doesn't surprise me as the 5th gen Camaro is a great car. I've driven a couple of them (both V6 and SS) and they're very solid, well built and even comfortable cars.

I always like an excuse to post this. Some lady ran a red light, and I didn't even hear brakes, so this was likely around 40-45 mph on impact (Texting probably) I saw impending doom so I stepped on it, thankfully it didn't hit my door. Spun me about 270 degrees.

3 people in the car, no injuries other than my gf getting a black/blue mark on her thigh from the side airbag cap hitting her with such great force.

Now we know why the car weighs almost 4,000 lbs!

The 4th generation got a 5 star frontal crash test rating, I think it was 3 stars for the side?

4th gen probably got such a good front rating because there was such a long nose that would need punched in before you even got to the cabin :P

You're right. In fact I think the nose on the 4th gen may be longer than the nose on the 5th gen.

I know that overall the 4th gen Camaro is about 2-3 inches longer than the 5th gen Camaro.
