Where exactly is it rubbing? What type of exhaust does he have?
If its rubbing on the tunnel brace, then he should just be able to adjust the exhaust up off of the brace, and should be fine.
If he can't, he may have to get a dropped tunnel brace, like the Elite Engineering Tunnel Brace (http://www.jdpmotorsports.com/brands/elite-engineering/elite-engineering-tunnel-brace-2010-2012-camaro-v6-camaro-ss-e2cambrc). It drops down about 3/8" to clear most exhausts, is stiffer to strengthen the underbody subframe, and looks really good too!

You could use some small spacers under it, that's a common issue with exhaust on these.

I used header wrap and t-bolt clamps(or worm/hose clamps) on my x-pipe, it was hitting & vibrating on the shield that is below the stock resonator... got a roll cheap off ebay for like $9 shipped, spent 15 minutes wrapping it and the vibration was no more...
