I cut a 1.31 foot brake. I don't have a two set or trans brake.

Yes I should have specified turbo, but still like hearing about the superchargers too. My truck has been a best of 1.38 off the foot brake with a PT88/ 370 Ci. Im just wondering if my 6.0L/76mm Nova will work of the foot brake. It has smaller brakes than the truck so it might be harder.

The best I could get out of my 6.0 GT45 turbo Nova was 1.67. This was on 315/35/17 Nitto 555R's though. It seemed like neither the tires or the brakes would hold it so I gave up trying to launch hard.

First time out cut a 1.41 and a 1.42 on 275/60/15 MT drag radials , still have stock shocks all around, leaving at 11.5lbs of boost.

That's pretty good. Do you have huge brakes that let you build all that boost? What converter and CI do you have?

Stock brakes, they actually started grinding on my last pass so I have to change them for next year. 370ci, its a powerglide w/ a BTE 3800-4000ish stall., not sure it was a friends converter that he ran behind a BBC I just put in to see how it worked. vids in my signature.

The best way I've seen it done was with a line-lock tied into the footbrake/2-step with a relay. Nitrous is about the only other way to cut a good 60' off a footbrake with a turbo car. It's crazy I went from a best of 1.51 60' off the transbrake in my turbo car to 1.29 60' in a car with 300 less rwhp off the footbrake. I know the differences and why it does, just seems crazy. Torque curves are very different. That being said that is why the s/c procharged/vortech guys are going to cut great 60's off the footbrake.

Stock the nova is going to be a track car right?

I have my Harlan 2-step wired to where I can launch off the foot brake or trans brake although I never use the footbrake at the track. I noticed that some cars rock once on the trans brake, so I wired my line lock into the trans brake, it works perfect. You could wire your line lock (I assume you have one) into the 2 step. The 2 step RPM limit/setting really depends on your setup (converter, cam, & other factors).
