You will eventually run out of rpm as you get faster. Taking in account stock converter, 5900-6000 rpm shift point, 4.10, and 26" tires you will have to shift into 4th around 110-112mph. I used this calculator http://www.f-body.org/gears/

I love the 4:10 gears. I am running these gears with an auto. You will run out of gear but I had the shift point raise on 3rd and just make it pass the quarter mile line. My car is full bolton stock internal engine and my times are listed below. I run 9 inch slick on mine.
I hope you have a heavy duty rear end because if you hook real good these gears want last long in a stock rear end. Any more questions, let me know.

Run 4.10's here with a 28" tire. Don't run out of RPM yet....

4.10's r too much for a A4 Street car u really dont need them !!!!!!!I Was running 11.80's w/ a bolt-on w/ stock 3.23's and could still fly down the highway !!! Look @ my Vette running 11's w/ 2 bolt-on's and a tune in the Florida heat w/ 2.56's !!!

4.10s with 28" tall tires is what a lot of drag racers from the late 60s and early 70s used. It works but with a few mods your gonna be needing some taller tires or 3.73 gears . Its a good point now for your mph but just be aware that you will need more rpm or tire or some 3.73s with more hp .

btw my dad uses a 4 speed with 28" tall tires and 4.10s and ran 12.3s at 112 with his 77ta and the acceleration is sweet .

The 4th Gen true tire size to equal the gear is 25.7'' and the 2nd Gen's r 27'' so there is the difference !
I run 4.10 gear and 28's also, but I shift at 7000-7100 rpm. Once you put a healthy converter, slicks, and start pulling some good 60's that 10 bolt is going to pop.
What are you 60's now? I would guess low 1.9's to high 1.8's :)

Please don't compare your Vette to his car. That's not fair  The Vette has over 100 more HP and a 4.03 first gear vs the 4l60e's 3.06 first gear.
He already has the 4.10's so make the most of them until the 10 bolt pops and he has to upgrade rear ends :)

I'm running Moser 12 bolt with 3.90's, built 60E, and a 3k stall...I find the 3.90's to be a tad too much for a daily driver. it's not so bad that it's unbearable tho..very livable
4.10's w/the 4L60E is probably the highest gear(numerically)I would go with for a daily driver. It's a different story for a dedicated drag only car. I know others in the forum running 4.56 gear with the 4L60E and 5000+ stall.

I am not i am just talking rear end gear and i know it makes more to the tire 415 than most bolt-on 4th Gen do @ the Crank but i do kick my self for selling my 02 Camaro SS and will b getting another in the Future !!!
