LT1 to LS1 fuel question
I know everyone is using the corvette regulator......I've got an LT1 pump that needs to run stock 28.8 LS1 injectors. What regulates the pump's pressure? The regulator? Does the LT1 pump make enough pressure to get to 59 psi? I have two excellent stock pumps, one from a 98 and one from an 01....would swapping these to the LT1's stock fuel bracket inside the tank be a better alternative assuming they would even fit......Nobody really answers these questions in the other threads...

I believe the LT1 fuel pressure regulator is on the rear of the intake. Are you doing a stock ls1 swap? I dont know the specs on the stock lt1 pump vs the stock ls1 pump...but depending on the power you will be making, you may have to upgrade anyway.
If you wanted to keep things cheap, you could always run both bumps in the tank. I have dual walbros in the tank. One is hooked up to a 30/40a relay triggered at 2 psi by my boost controller. You could always splice a wire into the fuel pump signal from the pcm and wire up another relay to that. You will need to run a new + wire and ground from the additional pump. I used 14ga, but you could probably get away with less. The stock pump used either 16 or 18 ga. Have you seen mightymouse's thread regarding the dual walbros? Keep in mind though, you will spend roughly $40 in materials to do this vs. $100 for a new walbro 255lph pump.

I've installed and wired dual walbro's on a hobbs switch as well as made a custom "hotwire" kit from scratch. No biggie on that stuff. Just wanting to do this once and I'm not at all familiar with LT1 stuff.

I did a quick google search and found this:
"The OEM fuel pump for TPI/LT1 is an "in tank" fuel pump with an operating rating of 50 PSI and 24 GPH. This pump is recommended for all vehicles with in-tank pump mountings."
Looks like the stock pumps are Delphi hp10033 (LT1) and Delphi FG0154 (LS1). I couldnt find much info on them. But I did find some info on a few replacement pumps.
LS1
Maximum Free Flow Rate (gph): 55
Maximum Pressure Range (psi): 105
Minimum Free Flow Rate (gph): 45
Minimum Pressure Range (psi): 85
LT1
Maximum Free Flow Rate (gph): 55
Maximum Pressure Range (psi): 95
Minimum Free Flow Rate (gph): 55
Minimum Pressure Range (psi): 90
Hope this helps.

You can use the stock LT1 pump as long as the LS1 is stock. But any upgrades and you'll want to upgrade for sure. If you use the corvette fuel filter it has the regulator built in.
