Small Block & Big Block Chevy Specific - 96 Tahoe with 5.7 vortec motor tune?

hey guys i just purchased a 96 tahoe with a 9 inch lift...great feeling haha but horrible gas mileage and not very fast. im curious what mods you guys think i should do and any recomendations on tune? i hear black bear performance is good... i dont know my main concern is mpg, and alittle more kick. i've already opened up the exhust with a x pipe and dual exhaust, took off the cats and debating to do headers or not. i read that on that motor headers wont make a huge difference unless i supercharge it. any input would be great!

I've heard of people getting Wait4me tunes, i plan on getting one for my S10.

Have you done a CAI? does it have electric fans? if not that might be something to look into.

thanks for the response. i dont have a cold air intake but i hear they dont help much on this car so i just put a k&n filter in the stock box. it does have electric fans. as for the tune i've never heard of wait4me so i'll look into that. i've heard alot about black bear tuning
