4l80e output carrier stuck.. Output shaft cup? Hey Im trying to remove the output carrier assembly in my 4l80e. I can pull it up a few inches then it is stuck.
I think it is the steel cup on the output shaft. Do I need this pulled off the output shaft before I can remove the rest of the guts in this tranny?
Heres a picture of the cup I am talking about.

Ok, looks like I just had to tap that cup around until it loosened up and came off, then I was able to pull the output carrier out..
No cause for alarm!
