Automatic Transmission - Car Wont go in to any gear

I just bought a new 2000 v6 camaro auto, and when i put the car in gear ( R OD D 2 1) it does nothing. the car ran great up until last night. can anyone point me in the right direction as to what the car is doing and what does it need. thanks!

It's a good bet that the pump in the transmission has failed completely. Time for a rebuild/replace job. Sorry :-(
