Default LQ9 to replace my LT1

I've got a pretty clean 95 z28 I am looking at dropping my LQ9 with L92 heads, LS3 intake and custom ground cam, and a 4l80e. Does anyone on here have any advice for such a project, or would I be better off to sell this car and buy a ls equipped car. I'm talking dollar figures not difficulty level. Either way I go I know its gonna be expensive because I plan on stripping the engine bay and redoing it to make it as clean as possible. Thanks for any opinions and advice.

the_merv has a thread, where he swapped a LS based engine into a V6 f-body (pre 98). While it won't be exact for you, it should give you most of what you need. I think the main things you will need to worry about are the k-member, oil pan, and using the f-body brackets for the accessories, as the alternator most likely won't clear the hood.
