Default Take a look at these plugs. ATVracer & ShiznittyZ28 I want your input.

I have a bolt on LS1. LS6 intake, P&P TB, Granatelli MAF, SLP lid, LT headers, TSP true Dual exhaust, UDP, 6 speed, 4.10 gears, Stock injectors. Full Dyno tune.

We went out this weekend and tuned it for the kit. I am running a 150 shot through a NOS single fogger nozzle. The pills are a 63 N and 38 F. The pictures are of a NGK 7 at 18 degrees of timing. We pulled out 10 degrees of timing for the kit. After this pass shown we pulled another 2 degrees out of it after this pull which gave us a grand total of 12 degrees pulled for the kit.

What do you think about it?

It seems to me that I need to step up the fuel jet one or two.

Brandon? LOL.

We did the runs on the highway. 3rd to 4th gear pulls. I had no traction in second.

Here is the plug cut open. I dont see much of a fuel ring at all. MAYBE just a hint where the porcelin flares out but thats it.

Doesn't look too bad. A little fuel ring, but nothin much. Looks pretty good on the fuel. May be able to lean it out a little. I would definitely pull a couple * if it was me though.

You probably don't have a vacuum gauge, but if you do, pull the timing out and see if it picks up any vacuum down track. MPH will tell the tale as well.

After taking another look, the pictures aren't great, but that timing mark may not be too bad. My eyes play tricks on me. the timing mark is either out at the end of tip(where mine usually ends up) or back at the bottom of the bend. There's no set place on the strap the mark should be, you can add or subtract and watch the mph. If the mark is out at the end, you might add a * and see if your mph increases, then see where the mark is. It may take some more. If mph decreases after the change, obviously put it back.

If that mark is back the bend where I originally thought, I would definitely pull a couple out. Just my opinion of course. I hope the pro's chime in to back me up or tell you don't listen to me and "this" is what you should do instead lol. Good luck

this will help explain it better than I can. yes the cad is burning off but still no heat in it yet.

"An NGK strap, will not really get the purple ring that an Autolite does. The first thing you see on an NGK, is that the cad is sort of just bubbled up and ashey looking, with maybe a goldish tint. A wipe with your finger will clean the strap right off. This is NO heat and usually very safe. When you start getting heat in an NGK, you WILL see it. The strap will obviously get darker, startting at the end and moving toward the bend. The color will be a dark brown, or even black looking, but will be easily seen. If you are having trouble seeing heat in an NGK plug, you probably don't have any"

Also doesnt look like it has been run long enough to color the plug very good.

it will start to burn off the chalk color on the strap when you get some heat in it.

Quick Reply: Take a look at these plugs. ATVracer & ShiznittyZ28 I want your input.
