Hi Guys,

Have a set of 799 Heads on my LQ9 on my S10 Blazer, does any one happen to know what springs come on them? I believe they were off of an 08-09 truck, springs have no markings on them yellow blue etc. I'm running a 04 ZO6 cam, I've heard conflicting stories about the springs that's why I'm asking. are they same as 243 good for 550 lift?? Without having to take one off and test it.

To my knowledge they are not the same as the Yellow springs but the reason im posting is simple. Dont ever EVER mess around with sub par valve springs. They are usually the cause of all engine failures so change em often and buy the best you can. PSI or PAC etc. Inexpensive as well

They must be yellow to handle .550 lift. If they aren't yellow, then they are base level springs.

Thanks guys, yea I pulled one, it has stock spec LS1 Spring seat and open pressure. Good call on them not having yellow or blue markings, if anyone else is wondering no markings on springs on 799 heads are stock spec LS springs
