Default Goodyear GSD3's discontinued??

This is BS!! I can't believe they're discontinued. Anyway my cousin owns a tire shop and he can get my 315/35/17 Nitto NT05 for $185 a piece. Should I jump on it??

Didnt realize they were discontinued. After your other thread I looked them up. They were pretty damn expensive but they looked mean and Im sure they hooked real well. Im personally going with Nitto NT555's. Best price I saw was $202 a tire. Sounds like a pretty good deal IMO and Ive only read good reviews on most Nittos.

YESSSSSS DISCONTINUED.I found out today too.Go with the NITTO NT05
Section width for a 315/35/17 is 12.40.The gs-d3 believe it or not was 12.30
The NT05 Is a cross between the INVO and the NTO1.

DON'T BE SURPRISE THAT THE 555 IS NEXT ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK.
It also is an aging tire.

Bro, if your car is a daily driver, stick with the 555. I've been on here for 10 years, can't tell you how many LS1's I've seen wrecked in the rain because people are stupid enough to be on drag radials for daily driving.

I'm not knocking the NT05, it's a great tire, but you're going to hydroplane if you get caught in wet weather.

The NTO5 is not the drag radial. It's classified as street. But like trublood said if you DD stick with the 555.I went with the NT05 only because mine is a summer weekened warrior only.

The choices for street tires in 315/35R17 are getting very slim as more and more performance cars are going to 19" and 20" wheels. It looks like it's down to just Sumitomos, NT555s, and NT05s now. Those NT05s look a little too aggressive for a daily driver.

Discontinued? Wow, those things were always on backorder. I sold a brand new set on ebay for $740 shipped a couple weeks ago (Ebay/paypal/shipping fees came up to about $160 ). Now I wish I held on to them.

The NT05 was clocked in the rain doing 90 mph under testing.
I''m sure that was going straight ahead.

The NTO5 is an Summer tire.Like all summer tires the are not rated "10" for wet traction.

Anyway, I think alot of guys are getting confused that the NTO5 IS A STREET TIRE. Not the drag. The drag is the NTO5R.

Thank you for contacting our web site and for your interest in Goodyear tires. The Eagle F1 GS D3 still shows as a current tire in our data base and we have not been informed that it is being discontinued.

I really like it too! It has a really unique tread design.
