Default Polluter cam users come in!!!

Considering trying out the Polluter cam in my next setup and trying to get some real world opinions. If you have the cam, and feel like sharing, please do. I'm curious of HP numbers, of course, but more importantly the torque numbers. I lost a bit of torque when I stepped up to a bigger cam, and I want it back. If you aren't comfortable sharing on the thread, please feel free to pm me your setup. If you can include type of intake, heads, and if M6 or A4, that would be most helpful. Thanks.

Sorry I'm not running a polluter cam but I talked to gene at thunder racing and the way I understood it is the trex is designed for stock heads for max hp and tq. I'm ordering it either today or tomorrow the whole kit. Ill let u know when I get it in and dynoed he said he don't see y I wouldn't see 425hp cam only with exhaust. If your not running aftermarket or worked over heads give gene a call and get some more options for a cam only car. I have a m6

What cam are you currently running? The Polluter is not going to be very good in regards to low end torque. It's more of a max effort performer. Why not just have one of the vendors custom spec you a cam? Best of both worlds if you ask me.

Thank you all for your opinions. Just looking for real world numbers on the Polluter cam only. All other cams, suggestions, and advice don't apply in this thread.

Didn't you ask about this cam once before? Just buy the cam and run it. It's a big XER lobed cam and won't put up some magical tq numbers over the MS3 or TREX (also big XER cams). JUST DO IT!!!!

I find it highly annoying when people say to search on a forum board...if you can put the effort to type search you can put the effort into type a answer.

and if you dont know dont comment and dont comment search

this forum is about helpin each other

Im running the polluter cam only with mid length headers, stock 241 heads and 4.10 gears in a m6. Its my first cammed car so i cant really compare it to any other cams and ive never been on a dyno but IMO im feel like im pushing pretty high numbers from my races ive had.
I walk new 5.0s, A laguna seca edition 5.0 was about a car behind me and I ate up a cammed ls3 camaro from a dead stop and was right beside him till about 120ish on a roll and i was one car behind a cobra that put down 460hp and 493tq to the wheels from a roll. It does take a second to pull but after it gets started it stays pulling and it feels great. Also im side by side with some H/C/I ls1s.
Keep in mind this is all street racing, all the tracks around here have been closed down damnit.

I'm already running the MS3, in a stock cube engine. I'm building bigger this time, so I need a little bigger cam to compensate for the difference. I have seen in Tick's ad for the polluter that it did really well with nitrous and had stout tq numbers without the gas. Thanks to those who posted up. Keep the real time info coming.

big cams are never a budget way of going fast, there is way more to a fast cam only car,i talked with a member that went from the ms4 to the polluter, and he really liked it, power came in a lil sooner and he said the car ran better.that is just what i have heard, honest go with a custom grind ,then you will know you have the best cam
