Default What does this spark plug tell you?

I got a p0307 cylinder #7 misfire code, so i pulled the plug and it looked like this. The residue on it was very sticky/gummy. The plug on the right is from cylinder #5 to compare. The cylinder #7 plug(left) also still has the white porcelain in the middle which leads me to believe there wasn't much combustion going on?? I'm not sure what that means?

I've only had the car about 6 months. When I took the plug wire off #7 it had a little orange plastic thing in it...pics below. WTF, I don't know what that orange thing is but it doesn't belong in there. I think that was part or all of the problem.

Not sure what that orange thing is.. pull off another plug wire and check inside the boot to see if there is any more of those.. looks like carbon/blowby build up on the plug from no combustion like you said.. swap some new plugs in and maybe some new wires depending on ur findings of the other cylinders

i bet that orange piece was causeing that cylinder not to spark, or it was very weak and not sparking under load. do a compression test if you can or leave that orange piece out and put a new plug in and see if the misfire is gone.

Here's a picture of all the spark plugs. 5 and 7 looked the most abnormal. I'm not sure what they mean though. Again, 7 had a very gummy residue.

In the last picture I put in new plugs and drove around for about 15 minutes, then took them out. 7 was wet with some oil, 5 carbon fouling...rich?, 3 normal.

#7... Isn't that the cylinder that tends to break ring lands first?

I'm guessing that orange thing was to protect the wire during shipping, but was supposed to be removed before installation
