I've heard 10-15 whp, it's better because it flows better than the stock LS1 manifold. You can find them on Ebay or in the classifieds section of this forum.

Welcome to the boards, btw

On a 100% stock engine, I would think more like 5-10rwhp at most.

It's going to be more noticeable with further modifications though, especially heads/cam.

If your patient you should be able to find one in the classifieds for under $300, once you see the ls1 intake next to ls6 (specifically taking note of the underside) you can see the difference. The runners are the same length as the ls1 but the plenum volume is greater on the ls6.

Yes they are too tall for the stock fbody hood, but no they don't flow better. They have longer runners so they produce more low end torque (for truck/towing applications) but at the expense of less top end power.

The LS6 or BBK is best for a stock motor. The FAST intakes are for heads/cam motors making big power.

yes. starting in 02 LS1's had LS6 intakes on them, so check the part numbers. i've seen guys remove their LS1 intake, sell it & buy a LS6 intake, not realizing they already had the LS6 intake.

Good to know, I have a LS1 from a 98 with a ported T/body. Didn't know if I could or should use the xisting T/body if I ever come across a LS6 intake for the rite price.

If your trying to maintain a budget then stay with an ls6 intake manifold. If your not worried about a budget then get a fast, but then again if your going with a turbo your gonna want a ls6 especially if you plan on running a lot of boost to it. LS6 intake manifolds are one piece where fast intakes are three piece. Fast intakes are known for falling apart under high amounts of boost.
