Street Racing & Kill Stories - Dissapointed in an LS1 driver

was in greensboro last night, and my buddy with a roush stage 2 came over for a bit. he is the one i raced a while back with the 8lb vortech blower, well he got 3.73's put in, and i wanted a ride,since my car was on the rag i couldn't really race him, we got on I85 and see a white trans am getting on the from the next on ramp, he was gettin on it hard, so my buddy drops it a gear and pulls up beside him, throws a few revs, and the kid doesn't even look over, i roll down my window and motion for him to go, and no dice..he was a badass till someone challenged him, just dissapointed me, someone should take his car from him. btw, my friends car only tops out at 135 now b/c of the gears, that shits kinda funny, imma race him once i get my shit fixed, but we are gonna go from a 120 roll:jest:

i got up to 127mph with 4.10s in my a4 mustang... and still had a good 500rpm left at the very least, assuming i had the horsepower to push past 127 (going up-hill mind you).

I got 3:73's and tried to top it out on I75 going from Gainesville to Orlando at 2 in the morning. Redlined in 5th, went into sixth and could not redline. Car would not hit 145, only 143 maybe. I was pissed, but I guess the gears do their job on the low end. Ended up with a pinion seal leak in my rearend afterwards, though...so watch out.

just cause he wouldnt race doesn mean he was a punk. I very well might have done the same thing, it depends on time, place, traffic, what my radar is saying ect. I dont take every race that is offered to me cause if I did i would either be in prison or dead, sometimes you just gotta pass, doesnt always mean you are a punk.

Good point, but when a mustang tries me, I always take it no questions asked.

There was no reason for him not to have a go at the Stang. He was obviously not afraid to get on it on the street.

Yea, NY is such a nice and clean place! but Hoss your right about the TA he needs his car taken away but I see that way to often around here I usually cant even get guys (mustang or fbody) to even look over at me mutch less race. I live on LI ... and I have been to greensburo ... its mullett land, and all the girls are ugly. Not to mention how SLOOOW everything is down there.
