Found this back in October and honestly I wasn't looking to buy. But the plans with my car were: repaint, take out cloth interior and put in leather interior, swap A4 to a M6, new engine, new trans, new rear, new suspension and a few other things but when i saw this i look at how much it'd cost me to do all that to mine or just buy a clean roller . . . yep went with the roller!!!!!
Not very often would I suggest on going to give a deposit on a unseen car, but with all the feedback I heard about the car I had a feeling it was worth it and I'm so happy I was right. You guys might recognize it from being in the March 2008 issue of GM High Tech (http://www.gmhightechperformance.com/features/0803gmhtp_2001_chevy_camaro_ss_super_stock/viewall.html)

Here are the pics of picking it up :D :D enjoy i know i am

finally got here and had to block off the narrow road, he wasn't too happy that the first guy who came out to "assess" the situation didn't tell him this

and had to be in the car for the tow onto the bed

I'm not sure what engine I'm going to go with but I know i'll be going with a Magnum T-56 and LS9R clutch from Katech and the rear end is just going to be rebuilt and made better (hopefully) The stuff i already have in the car is a dual gauge pod with 2 gauges already, a few other gauges, coil relocation kit for under the windshield :D :D a meth injection kit :D :D a fuel system set-up for up to 1000hp, dual adjustable PHD, adjustable LCA's, subframe connectors, driveshaft loop and i think that's about it for goodies. The interior is immaculate and still smells new and the exterior is just flawless!!! Even the tow truck driver asked when he got there if it was a show car lol even when we got it back to my house 94 miles away (took a long time going 55mph) he still said it was the cleanest car he'd ever towed in 26 years of towing. Anyway thats my new toy so someone buy my 2000 SS so i can get this one up and running faster!!!!!

Car looks spotless man, congrats. Do you know what grille that is? I usually hate mesh grilles but that one is sharp!

So what did you pay for it? Did it still have the 12 bolt?

King Nothing

i paid a very good price lol and nope it has a 10 bolt now which will be taken apart and either rebuilt or replaced with something stronger depending on what i do in the engine department

Wow, that looks amazing for a roller, that's going to be an incredible car once you get it running. Maybe I missed it, but what happened to the motor that was in it? Car looks like it was very well maintained, I find it odd one this nice is without a motor.

parted out with the rest of the stuff in the car, don't know the reasoning and didn't want to ask since it really wasn't much of my business and i would've felt weird asking ya know? plus the engine never would've passed inspection since it was a wisconsin car and i'm in nazi california :bang:

10 bolt wont last behind an M6 if driven even remotely close to its potential. And what are you gonna attach the SLP grill to?

King Nothing

Yeah it was cut up for the intercooler, I'm not a fan of the grille and I haven't decided yet what I'm doin with the car so easiest route I'll just change the grille to a billet grille if i can

Wow that's really nice, can't wait to see what you're going to do with it. Although I can't believe that after all of the work and effort the previous owner put in to the car that they could just gut it and sell it. Ah well, that's what normal people do with these cars anyway, lol. Keep us updated 'OP...
