Still on my adrenaline rush from last weekend. Just an awesome time with an awesome car at an awesome place. Finally got around to looking at some vids and pics. Plenty of cools cars and great people. A lot of corvettes, ZR1s, R8s, GT3s and even an IRL? car. Got some more pics on other camera but daughter has them with her. Will post when I get camera.

178 is quite fast. :usa: What kind of hp do you have? Are you running race tires?

500+rwhp. Could have gone faster, but was running out of brakes and balls. Car was stable solid at that speed.

Looks like fun and 178 mph is moving right along. I ran it back in November 2008 and I wish I had a GPS lap timer back then because I don't really know what kind of top speed I was seeing. I'm guessing in the mid 140's but that's based upon glancing down at the speedometer as best I could. It was one of those bucket list tracks for me but I do want to go back since they've repaved it.

I'm usually at Sebring several times a year either with Chin Motorsports or NASA. Do you ever head out to Sebring?

Sebring is on my list to do someday. It is an 8 1/2 drive for Daytona so have to wait until schedule works out. I heard some of the drivers who had been to D before commenting on how much smoother the track was with new pavement. I like it!

Best thing about Daytona HPDEs? The cars that show up. I've seen some killer stuff down at Sebring, but it seems the big hardware comes out in droves to Daytona, for some reason.

Good stuff, love me some Daytona!

It sure was fun. It was my fourth HPDE there .

Have seen this car run at Barber, it will GET IT!

I am trying to figure out how phone based GPS lap timers work, and how you overlay it onto video.

I have an Android phone, I assume I need some type of holder like that? Where do you get them?

I have a Flip video camera, how do you overlay the info?

Nice vids BTW, A buddy tried to go to this event, but you had to be very experienced to get into this one, is that correct? Black group kinda deal?
