Default What should I use to clean microfiber cloths?

As the title states, I'm not really sure what to use to clean my microfibers so it'll be clean to use on my cars paint without scratching or leaving any residue of any cleaners. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I use a detergent called micro-restore. Autogeek and detailed image both sell various detergents for microfibers. I wash in cool water, and dry on the lowest setting in the dryer, which provides air not much above ambient. It is really worth the extra effort to maintain them properly.

Never use any fabric softener or detergent. If you did, they might be ruined.
I've heard that you can use a solution of vinegar and boiling water to bring them back to the original softness.

Otherwise, I just use a mixture of simple green and vinegar in a small load in the washing machine. Let them air dry and they are good as new. Do not put them in the dryer on any setting.

The dryer wont hurt them if you use the lowest dryer setting, which doesnt use enough heat to even come close to hurting them. Been using that method to dry for years.

I wash mine seperately in the washer with detergent then I hang dry, is this a bad move? My microfiber seems to still work fine.

With the amount of money I have invested in my MF's and my customers expectations, that's a chance I'm not willing to take. If I had a dedicated dryer for my detailing then maybe, but that's not in the cards at the moment and with hang drying in a controlled environment I know they will right. But what works for me might not work for someone else so I understand.

Just say "no" to drying them in the dryer. Air dry every time and it will keep them soft as the day you bought them.

-Wash with a small amount of liquid detergent only
-Rinse twice and add some distilled white vinegar to the second cycle
-Air fluff until very slightly damp

No powders, no softener, no high heat (static), and no dryer sheets

Someone told me once to wash them in the washer with detergent and add a cup of vinegar it helps soften them up.
