Been running mine since 07 and no problems. I have a ss4000 and our setups are close. I say go for it, you wont be disappointed and they have great customer service.

If you're tranny broke a 2nd time, I can honestly say, with no bullshit, it will probably break a 3rd time. How much power are you putting out? It might be time for you to consider a 4L80E swap, that way you'll have a transmission that will outlast any engine you'll put in there.

A 4L80e would be WAY overkill for your application. You simply need a well built 4L60e. Even with a 100 or 150 shot on your car one of our Level 5 4L60e transmissions would live a long and happy life. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

i would agree a 4l80e would be and expensive overkill for your aplication feel free to give a call and we can discuss.

Running a performabuilt stage 2 and a circle D 5C 4000-4200 stall and love it. No problems at all. Dont hesitate to look into Performabuilt. Tough to beat them on the services that they offer.

Lets just say minutes after putting on my tranny and 5C converter, i abused the **** out of my car to get the shift points and it took it with no problems at all.

would the 4000 stall work with a 125 shot or would a 3600 be better for spray?

If your gonna spray it then your better off with something like the Yank SS 3600. If your gonna run NA then yoour better off with something like I run a Yank PT 4000. It has alot to do with shift extentions and other strange things . Like your car might shift fine NA with a 3600 but if you spray it then it might hit 7,000 rpms before it changes. And most people aren't setup to tach so high!! And I love my Performabuilt level 2. It solved the age old question of who told who to shift first the tranny or the CPU.

if you our talking YANK 3600 or 4000....

the SS series you can spray....3600 or 4000

the PT series is more for NA.

been runnin a level 2 for almost 2 years with a yank ss3600. Worked great right out the box. Sprayin took some work to get the shifts to occur at the right time, especially the 2-3. Still not perfect but good.

Why does spraying have such an effect on how the car shifts?

I'm running their level 2 with a 3600 revmax n love it. Considering I have almost 200k on my engine it's probably going to outlast it, but I bought with plans of putting in a 408 sooner or later.
