Default 69' Z28 badges on newer f-body

I know some of you have done this before, did you shave off the factory pegs on the back of the emblem or did you drill your fender? I would rather not drill obviously. haha I have a roll of double sided 3m emblem tape. any help is appreciated, pics always help too! Thanks!

I used a dremel to take off the pegs. Since the ones I bought at an arch to them, I gently flattened them so they'd fit better. Also used 3m tape.

I shaved off the rear pegs and flattened out the badge also. Spent 20 min each side just adding the 3m tape on the back.

I put a leather glove over the badge and hit it gently with a rubber mallet, did the trick
