http://www.highperformancepontiac.com/shootout/hppp_1202_1966_pontiac_gto_vs_2001_trans_am/index.html Well if you didn't know High Performance Pontiac has shootout with some "invited" cars the day before Pontiac Nats in Norwalk. We got car ready by going to mifbody dyno day few weeks before and sprayed 4-5 times and no problems in matter of fact Dr.Phil was there and tweaked the tune which really helped. We got to shootout and was sweet having track to only 12-15 cars we had the chance to make as many runs as you want until 3pm.Got up to do burnout and had everyone taking pics and noticed wheels kinda gave tire shake but got up and ran 12.78 (best b4-12.39)not getting on since thought 10 bolt letting go.So went and lowered and switched shock settings and ran same # and felt like it wanted more and lunch time was here so went and setup car for 100 shot on single stage best b-4 was 11.42 and if it all looked good was ready with 50shot 2nd stage to maybe flirt with 10's. Went up and did burnout and when I purged thru nostrils everyone started to gather round only to run a 12.81 looked at log files and nitrous didn't fire so started to look into and everything looked like it should work and got up to only fail again and run 12.87 with all the timing took out.we was there for weekend and ended up running in 12.5's NA and went few rounds sat/sun got home and found out when I checked that throttle position was working I checked by hand (reached over and light on controller lit) but what happened is the plastic clip that holds adjustment (tcs cars?) came undone so looked on logged files and only was running at 88% throttle. She runs lots better now also had to run around and swap alternator sat morning at track so hoping for some better times at Pontiac Nats this year!!!
