Default Bumper cut and not cut.

I've recently noticed that TA guys are cutting there bumper wher the license plate outline and some Camaro guys are just removing the grille.
Are you guys getting enough air over you intercooler?
I even see in the latest GMHIghtech RPM is running there Camaro with only grille removed.

I took a camaro bumper and cut the center of it out and put it into my ta cover so now I get the best of both worlds! Still have to finish it but it should be awsome

I'm curious to see what that would look like.

To answer the original question, yes, I saw plenty of cooling for highway runs during the dead heat of the summer. 3rd gear from 3000 rpm to top of 4th I only saw a 6-10 degree increase in temperature from ambient, which I don't think is bad at all.

I was actually just going to post a similar thread up about this... I would like to see what guys have done on their Camaro's. I am doing a turbo build as we speak and I am just up in the air about how I want to do my front bumper.... I would really prefer to not hack it up if possible. If anyone has pics to add to this thread it would be much appreciated!

ive got another day of trimming and glassing to get it perfect but ive been trying to get my engine compartment smoothed so thats been taking up my free time at the moment. I think im going to get that black chrome screen instead of the camaro grill.

That's definitely interesting. Not sure how I feel about it. I give you a lot of credit for trying something different.

That grille looks silly even when on a Camaro, why would it look good on a trans am? I'd say just keep it open and let the intercooler be visable.

I give you big props for being different as well and I think with that hood it looks wicked. Im sure once you smooth the grill into the bumper it will look even better

I mounted my ic at a 45angle and completely cut all the under side of the bumper, with using the factory air dam it force a great deal of air through the ic and keeps your bumper looking good/stock

From the outside looking in, GTO owner, I like that Transmaro, lol. I think its refreshingly different.

Nothing wrong with the stock look, but thats pretty nice too

Do you happen to have any pics of this man? I have seen a couple people used a larger air damn to direct air upwards toward the intercooler. I have a large intercooler going being my bumper and I would really like to try to retain as much of a stockish bumper look as possible... and I really don't love the billet grilles i've seen a few guys run in front of their cut bumpers.
