Tanz descision descisions 700r4 or 4l80e. A local guy recommends a 700r4 or 4l60e for my 68 nova /w 4.10's

Geoff recommends about a 3500 RPM Stall.
I know a 4l80e will take more then I through at it.
Go 700r4 (Cheaper but will is stand up?) or 4l80e Full manual (More expensive and shipping is a pain but will most likely never have a problem)
I am thinking more a Jakes Performance 4l80e but I like to do things local were possible (I'm in Canada so the 4l80e shipping is a PITA).
So what are peoples opinion on this on?
