Question Roots Style Blowers on 98-02 Fbodys

Im all about doing stuff different so I started thinking about changing things up a bit putting a blower on one of my cars... But instead of going with the usual centrifugal s/c's and turbos I wanted to see who has installed a roots style blower on 98-02 fbodys to give me an idea of what I am getting into. Also if you could post pics of your setup that would help too.

Thanks

I am planning on doing a M122 from a GT 500 Mustang on a sheet metal lower intake. Should be cool.

No pictures yet, car is down for the season. You can pick up the blowers pretty cheap anywhere though. I just typed it into google and went through some Mustang forums. Seen them from $300-$500. Got mine for $450 with the elbow, fuel rails, and including shipping.

Ill start looking into it then. Ill have to get in touch with my friend and see how much he'll let go of his blower for. When you get some pictures let me know.

Does anyone have a root blower already setup on a 98-02 fbody and can tell me about install issues?

I have a GTO "kit" on my 99 F-body motor in my IROC. Install was very straight forward. You could easily bolt one of these kits on in a weekend and be done.

Not so easy in a 4th gen. BTW, your car looks very familiar. Did you have TJ tune it? Seems like I remember seeing it on the dyno.

I have A LOT of the info you are looking for. There are a bunch of pics in my albums too. You can search some of the posts I have made or ask me directly or PM. I have posted most of all the stuff you will want to know about a few times around here. I'd do the searching for you but I'm only working with one contact right now. I'll be more helpful later. Ask away in the meantime.
