Idk if 16 inch tires will fit on 17 foot rims. Honestly the tire you posted is a 16" tire and it will not fit a 17" rim. I would read on this for a little bit to help you understand the terminology. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=46

I was mostly hoping it would somehow lol :/

Its because right now I have stock trans am 16 inch rims and they are freaken ugly.. But my tires are great and expensive and I was hoping I would somehow be able to keep them on the 17 inch wheels lol.. Im looking at these, think they are a good deal? I think I can get them for 300, http://stlouis.craigslist.org/pts/2741092069.html

and what size tires would be best on 17 inch wheels for a Trans Am

Depends on the width of the wheels.. assuming they are 9 or 9.5 inches wide a 275/40/17 would be perfect.

Indeed. 275/40/17 would work well. Im an outlaw and love a beefy tire. will most likely run 285/40/17 all around, or 275/40/17 with 295/45/17 out back
