Midwestern Members - F-Body Cruise

Saw this video messing around online. We should try to organize something like this for spring or summer. it looks like it could be blast.

that looks like the FAST river road cruise. i think they do that every year here. im not a member but maybe someone who is could chime in. defiantly looks fun tho

^^^ Yea that def the river road. I grew up in Jerseyville, about 1/2 hr north of the river road. I moved over here last year, and miss that town more and more every day. The whole hot rod scene just isn't as big here as it is on the west side of the state. I'm def going to keep an eye out for this cruise though. I'm usually there visiting about once a month

Yeah, that vid was done by Aaron Hagen from FAST. It's very possible that my car was one of the 564 pewter Camaros in that vid, I don't remember for sure. I used to go on most of the FAST cruises, before the club pretty much went up in smoke.

Sick car man. yea i wouldnt be able to make this specific one being in wisconsin and all (plus it sounds like you need to be some sort of member)...but maybe meet up somewhere central midwest so the surrounding areas/states can join in. i would be up for driving a couple hours to a meeting spot

I seen me in there :devil: That was my pewter ss doing those two roll races, I ripping it out of the parking lot. See my roommates head on the 4th gear shift haha, 11:00 am and he was already hammered :D

Hmmm. I've read a ton of your posts and wondered if we met. I'll have to look for you if there's another meet or cruise. And nice car too. Love the color.

I know a few people that would be in for a cruise, just gotta set a date and time. If you start now you could have a pretty good turn out by may-june.

Why wait till may-june? Set it for the opening day of gateway international, suppose to be in march. If weather permits I know thee would be a good turn out for

I know I'm down for it, I'm doing my winter rebuild now but it will be up by feb.... Lets try to get something organized, anyone out there in the FAST world and does the organization of the cruises lets start the planning now so in 3 months we have plenty of participation

If my car is fixed by then (it's leaking oil and power steering fluid) I'd be down for a cruise fo sho.

There's a meet here in St. Louise on July 14th for those who are interested. It should be pretty big. A drag day at Gateway is already in the works and so is a dyno day at Craven Performance. I'm kinda sorta helping out the guy who is planning everything. It should be a good time.

It's no club...just a big meet. The guy setting it up set it up more for GTOs but it's still open to anyone. He's expecting 100 or so GTOs and has interest from all over the country.

i say we do a cruise to Great lakes dragway that way people from Chicago and Milwaukee could meet up its a nice halfway point plus i know a friend of mine who is organizing a chicago vs milwaukee night at GLD sometime over summer he owns an import shop but its open to everyone it was a good turnout last time and it was a blast a few f bodies showed up and a bunch of mustangs to play with

I can think of 5 to 8 F-Body owners in the Milwaukee area who'll definitely be interested.

Yes we did meet. You had the red Z28 with the Magnaflow catback and you were with a couple of your buddies. I also remember you posting on BCM that you wanted to buy electric cutouts. I'm glad to see you found one.

BTW, I usually cruise with a couple of other F-Body owners when the whether is nice out. You should join us come spring. You'll have a blast rolling with other F-body "nutcases" who enjoy their cars as much as you do. Hit me up if you're interested.

Yup thats me. yea the magnaflow was getting too quiet for me so i went the cut out route. and yea i would love to cruise with you guys once spring hits (even though its 50 today). it would be nice to get to know some other guys around the area.
