Default help choosing heads for a LS7

Hello gents, so im a little new to the whole V8 game but recently bought a LS7 block and slowly starting the build. It is a warhawk block and i just purchased Manley rotating assembly with a set of 11.5 to 1 comp. wisecos.
also purchased the FAST intake manifold with a 102mm throttle body.

so now im running in to a problem choosing a set of heads, budget wise it matters but not at thesame time. I just want something reliable and good to keep the motor healthy and running strong. Either it being a stock LS7 head all the way to some top quality stuff, bang for the buck type of a deal.

I wil primerally use the engine for Drifting which will require me revving high so as far as power band mid and high would work best. Im looking to see what if would take to make around 600whp wit a NA application.

any help would be greatly appriciated,

thank you, marry christmas and happy new year

Nikolay.

I would think a set of ported LS7 heads with a custom sheet metal intake would get you where you want to be and scream to the moon with a matching cam.

You should also consider CNC ported LS7 heads from West Coast Cylinder Heads:

TSP ls7 heads or the WCCH will get you in the 600 rw ballpark depending on the cam.

Forget either one of the above mentioned, get the Mast mozes heads but you have to make sure the appropriate FAST intake. Ls1,Ls3 and Ls7 heads are all different. Just FYI since you are new. Or a sheet metal intake like a beck or one from mast. What kind of car and what is the purpose of your build.

The first question I have is which intake do you have, a cathedral port or square port? I wouldn't worry about which head you choose as long as you stay with a reputable builder. That motor is going to burn through tires faster then you can buy them. The horsepower isn't the problem having a nice smooth advance in the torque I think is what you would want if you are drifting.
