I'm starting this new thread to make it easier to view the listing of members who have either their SLP ('96-'97) or ASC ('98-'02) build number for their WS6 and choose to publicise it here. This replaces the older thread (http://ls1tech.com/forums/special-edition-vehicles/667818-list-ws6-build-numbers.html)that I had attempted to keep updated since DrEvyl had stopped updates ~3-1/2 years ago.

Due to the size of the list growing, I'll be splitting it up a little differently. But to get your car on the list, please leave a post in this thread with your information in the following format:

1997 Rumor Mill: There is recent post that stated while SLP assigned build #s for the '96 WS6s, they stopped doing so in '97, possibly because they were not pleased that ASC got the WS6 contract in '98. So it is curious that ANY '97s would have a WS6 build number. Additionally CompNine’s database indicates that only 3895 ’97 WS6s were built. Thus, while this listing was present before I took over updating this list, I believe the ASC# for the car below to be in error. One of my data sources showed that 2051 WS6 T/As and 524 WS6 Formulas were built in 1996. But yeah, even that doesn't explain a 26xx build number. Is it possible that Firehawks and SSs were numbered all together by SLP? :confused:

All I know, is that the posted build numbers originated from an older thread which contained inputs from car's owners. I have not seen any official numbers from Pontiac, care to share? I would trust mother Pontiac more than I'd trust a company that does restorations.
