Who has one? What brand and it is 110v or 240?

I ordered a snap on standard duty that is 110v and is good for up to 3/8th. I don't expect to cut anything thicker then 1/4 so it should do fine. I just buying the best so I am nervous since I didn't get the big boy. But $2300-$4000 was a big jump when the one I bought should do what I need it to.

I still dont understand why people buy snap on welders/plasma's... their hand tools are superb, welding line is re badged crap, 3x the price of a quality USA made unit...

FWIW, you could have gotten a hypertherm, which will cut cleaner, last longer, and cut 3/4" clean and sever 1" for $1700.

I absolutly love my welder. The extra price I paid was due to the fact it was the only place I could get credit. If I had cash my hand tools would be craftsman and matco, and my bigger stuff would be from many sorces I am sure. But I have a line of credit, get a reasonable intrest rate for my credit score, and feel the product is a great one just slightly overpriced.

Thermal Dynamics, i have one and bought it used for about $350 cash and have had it for 3 years. Works flawless and can be used with 110 or 220. I agree with BADD SS, I would never buy welding tools from snap on, Matco, etc... You can even get good welders and plasmas from sears for decent price.

i use hypertherms at work all the time, they're great and take abuse from idiots that neglect them.
