Whats a good brand of mig wire?.....Lowes sells Lincoln wire which would be convenient, but I've also seen Forney wire and a few other brands around for sale.....What brand is everyone here using?

I have used HF wire and it was ok. I personally run a Lincoln welder and run the 10lb Lincoln flux spools from Home Depot or whatever. Never had any issues with it. I think most stuff around the average garage it probably wouldn't matter much.

Lincoln wire is just fine. Not the cheapest costing but if it is convenient, the driving 10 miles to save $5 dollars doesn't make sense.
From what I have been told wire is wire. If is says Lincoln you know it will be good. I forget the name of what we get from the local welding shop.

for welding exhausts, wire is wire.... when doing anything that matters, get a quality wire. Lincoln, esab, hobart make great wires.... HF I wouldnt trust at all for content.

I've read that HF wire is inconsistent so I'll be avoiding that.....Sound like most of the name brands are all a decent wire

make sure to get your heat and wire speed dialed in for good welding.
