A friend of mine is selling a 2002 TA convertible. She jokes with me because I love the TA. I wish I could buy the car but can't afford it right now. She is the original owner and it has about 16,000 miles. What would be a reasonable price for this car? Should I take the hit and buy it and become a 2 TA family. My 16 year old son and I could race them. LOL.

Wow!! Gotta love 'like new' F-bodies with crazy low miles. If you have the financial ability to pick this gem up (provided it has a clean title and no Carfax issues) you really should if the price is right. It is a buyer's market. You will probably have to pay a 'premium' for this convertible with those ultra low miles. Most 2001-2002 convertibles with less than 10,000 miles sell for over $20,000 or at least the owners ask that much. Since this car has 16,000 miles I would try to get it for under $20,000. Anything in the high teens, right up to $19,000, would be fair for the buyer and seller, again provided there are no issues with the car. If you need a price guide quote for a car like this, for her comfort or yours, check www.kbb.com under 'private party' price figures. In my zip code this car is in the $17,000 neighborhood. Good luck!!
