Default Quick cam spec?

Im having a cam specd by a vendor off this board and hes asking me if i have a desired shift point or redline ...and im not sure...my car is a 99z28 th 400, 12 bolt rear with 3;73 motor is a lq9 stroker with l92/ls3 heads milled to 64cc ,- 4cc pistons..car will mainly be used for track and some street use

How many cubes? How much compression? What size stall?

Its a 404ci ..compression is around 11:8:1 and the stall is 4400

Nice. Depending on what intake you run, a cam in the 247/259 .624/.624 112 range should get you were you want to be. Your 3:73s should be swapped out with 4:10s+.

The ? He is askin me is where i wud want my cam to redline at or shifted at before he can spec me something out...

With those heads and cubes shift it around 6500 and redline about 6800

My bad I read quick cam spec instead of just REALLY reading your whole paragraph. lol Sorry. The manifold will probably make it peak by 6400-6500 for sure, but should carry out 300-400rpms past that, so I would tell him 6800-6900k.
