Default What OBD2 Port To Get

I am trying to wire in a LQ4 into a tube buggy and am very new to all of this. I am needing to add an OBD port to it and have a few questions on which ones I can use. The harness is the original truck harness off from the '99 truck so I know that an OBD port from a '99 would work, but what else would? Just wanting to know so that I can broaden my range while looking for a good deal. I haven't found much on this topic so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Chase

Mine came from a late 90's Alero for an 02 truck harness. They're all pretty much the same from what I've read.

Thanks, I have access to a port off a '97 Chevy truck. Maybe I will go try it.

Anything after '96 or so is the same. As always, just make sure to wire it in correctly as per your schematic.

Just adding, to the same. Get any '96+ port and pin it for your config and you're good.
