Default Boost gauge placement?

I ran my boost gauge to the old pcv port on the intake, just behind the throttle body. Does any one know if this would yield higher than actual readings?

Not sure, but that's where mine is and I get similar readings that other people do with my combination

Should be fine, there's nothing there to increase your boost reading

Instead of starting another thread....it seems as though your question was answered....I hope its okay to hijack.

I am running manual boost controllers for twins. I was going to run from an outlet port off the boost controllers to a "T" and then to my guage. Is there anything wrong with that set up?

I would just run it off a different source. Leave the wastegate/boost controller lines to themselves.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I was under the impression my used STS kit had the stock 5# spring in the waste gate, but I'm showing 9#s of boost. So either it has a 10# spring or boost is getting past it. Anyway, it's tuned well and runs good so I'm not complaining.

Or it's just the gauge. What is your vaccum at idle? I'm around -20psi.
