Negative Trader Feedback - DO NOT sell to Pimpdulla

Pimpdulla and I had an agreement for a Cam that I was selling.

Pimpdulla was told I would send the cam the day after I received payment. He sent payment to my paypal account after close-of-business on Tuesday (12/20/2011) which I saw on Wednesday (12/21/2011). Upon seeing the payment I immediately replied and let him know the cam would go out the next day, as agreed.

The cam was shipped on Thursday (12/22/2011) after work and I thought all would be good....I was definitely mistaken.

On Friday, before I could provide a tracking #, I received a call from Paypal stating that he was requesting information from me...ok, no problem, I got online as soon as I could and sent him an email with the tracking information showing that it shipped on 12/22 and was scheduled to arrive on 12/28.

On Saturday, 12/24/2011, Pimpdulla decided to escalate this to a Paypal dispute. Again I sent the tracking information as well as sent it via paypal in their dispute resolution center where the information is sent to both parties. I explained that there were a few (5) emails I hadn't received because my Outlook saw them as corrupted and when opened it was nothing but hyperlinks and HTML. I apologized I didn't get the emails, but still didn't understand why it was escalated after he had tracking information. I included screenshots of the emails to Pimpdulla to prove they were corrupted and I was not avoiding conversation. They were automatically sent to trash by my Outlook email. I gave him 2 email addresses, forum name and a personal phone number for further contact if it was necessary.

Again, I thought everything should be resolved.

On 12/27/2011 Pimpdulla escalated the dispute to a paypal claim so that now they're holding the money for an item he is supposed to receive today. I don't know when the hold will be taken off, but I can only imagine it won't be immediately and now I'm out almost $400 waiting for the hold to be taken off.

Pimpdulla should be avoided at all costs. I did everything I could to get the cam out as quickly as possible (day after receipt of payment) and to facilitate communication and prove that when I said there was an issue, there was actually an issue (screenshot of his corrupted emails).

I've notified Paypal of his shady dealings and hopefully some good will come of this.

Unfortunately paypal can put a negative balance on your account if someone disputes a claim and you are still responsible for it.

Luckily I have had very good luck with paypal in all of my time using it.

This is the first time I have had a problem and I have sold hundreds of things through paypal now.

I hope Paypal comes through for me and sees a scammer for a scammer.

Call UPS/whoever and stop the shipment. PayPal blows when it comes to "scammers", believe me, I've had my fair share of disputes with them.

This guy is a complete crook.

The SECOND I received confirmation from UPS that it was delivered he escalated the claim to "significantly not as described", which is a complete lie. I gave him full cam specs, including cam card, as specced by Pat G and ground by EPS. I also provided him EPS' number to confirm the grind.

He was clearly trying to bullshit me into fighting it to keep the money when I had no proof left with me now that I sent it all to him. I called paypal, explained the situation, and I'm requesting a return and giving him a refund. He has to ship it back to me within 10 days, pay for shipping and pay additional to get sign-on-receipt.

If he fails to do this I retain the full amount of money that he was disputing.

Win for me.

I either get to keep the money he paid or I get the satisfaction that he loses out on about $25 for being an asshole.

I'll be forwarding this information on to an Admin in hopes his IP is perma-banned from LS1tech.

I hate crooks, but feel justice was in my favor this time.

Well guess what? He sent it back with a tracking number and provided that number to PayPal and was able to show I received it 4 days after he shipped through proof of the tracking number, well in the box was a ROCK and NO iPhone I called PayPal as they had already refunded him his money and told them I received a rock and no iPhone and they told me they could not do anything and to call the local police and file a report. Well my police dept. basically laughed at me and said they couldn't get involved petty he said she said cases, and how could I prove I got a rock back and not my iPhone back. Long story short I lost my iPhone and lots of my time and sleep. Good Luck with your deal and I hope I didn't give other assholes ideas on how to screw sellers through PayPal.

I bought a PS3 from a guy with a game or two. Now, this is having dealt with him before. I recieved a game in a box big enough to fit...let's say 6 DVDs stacked on each other. I contacted him, he says I'm lying, I dispute with PayPal and on another site. I take pics of the package and everything, and he says I switched labels and the box is bigger than I make it look and all that shit. People on the site (and PayPal) believed him. It was stupid as shit, and went farther than that, but eventually I got most of my cash back.

I'll be sure to update with how this ends.

Edit - Just checked paypal and he has a tracing # set up for it, however UPS does not list it as a valid #

check the shipping weight and i dont see how ups could get upset with you opening the package before you sign. i always check boxes over before opening them and have asked them to wait numerous times to make sure things arent broken inside the box. i had some parts shipped one time and it wanst packaged in the same box they normally come in. ups had dropped the box and only half of my shit was in it.

You can open before signing i did to make sure i had single tips.

Usually I know the UPS guy who drops stuff off at my house because he works out at my gym and is a car guy, so hopefully he shows up with the "cam", or whatever the hell is getting shipped back to me, lol.

That's almost what I'm expecting to happen.

Shipping weight is the same as what I sent.... 9.90lbs, so it's likely a cam in there....but my cam? We'll see.

Hopefully its the same cam and he didnt swap them with his stock cam

Tomorrow's the scheduled day for delivery from UPS.

The UPS guys came at some ass-backwards time of the day and I wasn't home. I have to go by UPS to pick it up now.

Plan on swinging by there today after work or tomorrow morning to see what I get from this guy. I'm fairly certain it's going to be the stock cam that he swapped out and if it is I don't even care. If someone does something like that it'll catch up to them. 375 bucks isn't worth me losing sleep over.

The cam was pretty damn big (the absolute largest that could possibly be placed in an LS2 with stock heads and stock head gaskets). It was specced by Pat G and had about the same PTV as the T-Rex.

Hopefully he doesn't measure PTV or uses the wrong pushrods and busts his shit up.

I've opened an appeal with paypal.

I think the fact that I'm submitting a police report (which is a crime to lie about) and am willing to pay money out of my own pocket for court costs to file a small claims suit in my city under sworn testimony might work in my favor.

I also MAY have him on a technicality. He claimed in his original paypal dispute which forced the refund that "This cam shell is not even the one he said he was sending me. I contacted the manufactuerer to compare the numbers on it and they said they didn't even make that and not one that they brand. I want the cam that I ordered"

He sent back a GM cam and I can prove that what he said was a lie because they will easily recognize the "numbers on it". If there are no numbers on it, I also can prove it wrong. That is exactly why I had a UPS employee open it instead of myself...for the sake of posterity that I did not switch cams upon receipt.

I'm going to fight this as much as I can.

No, I don't know how old he is, but he WILL be receiving physical mail at his address and it WILL contain a copy of the police report. It's up to him what he wants to do with that. I even sent him a message letting him know that I'd be willing to work with him to resolve this matter. Ball is in his court and I'm a very reasonable person.

Me too...honestly, a $400 cam is not a big deal to me, but it's unfortunate that crooks like him exist to make the internet a less safe place to do transactions. It's people like him that ruin good things for honest people.

I feel that my appeal to paypal was very sincere and contained a lot of honest information, so I hope they find in my favor.

Paypal sent me the information yesterday about how to move forward with getting the police report and properly sending it to them. I believe that if a police report is filed and properly headered and faxed to paypal that I should win by default since it's a crime to falsely submit a police report.

When I tried to do it online I ran into a few issues that wouldn't let me continue.

Things seem to be moving pretty quickly now.

The Sergeant of the Criminal Investigations Department is supposed to be getting in contact with me shortly.

What sucks is that even if I win, I will have gone through all of this trouble only for a win-win scenario. He still gets my cam...all I'm trying to get is the money for the cam. Oh well. I can only hope that the money is desperately needed and will cause compounded issues for him in the future....I can only hope :) Based on where he lives, I think the money might very well be needed.

Anyway, like I said, the Admin at the police department said the Sergeant of the Criminal Investigation Division should be getting back to me by tomorrow afternoon. I have until 1/18/12 to get the police report faxed to Paypal.

I also carry (.40) when meeting someone. One of the guys on Evom was murdered when trying to sell his car and I believe they were even in a Wallmart parking lot or equivelant business. I trust no one.

On a side note, this is why the iTrader was invented. On all of the forums I frequent, this is the only one where not only can you sell with little to no posts / reputation but that people so willingly buy and sell to these people.

Been on this forum a long time, and I see the same mistakes made time and time again. I've sold and bought on tech things anywhere from 50 to 15,000 dollars and never had a problem. I'd say only 20% of my sales people actually left feedback for me. I know some of it's just luck of the draw, but use your head for god sake. Read their posts, see where they're posting and if they're making any positive contribution to the site, or just here trolling and surfing the for sale section. :argh:

This is what keeps me from selling parts over the internet.

I used to sell jetski stuff/car stuff - and part of the agreement was that I had 48 hours to send them out after payment CLEARED in my bank account.

Some people didn't like waiting for that, but it helped protect me against this kind of thing.

The moment they would send me paypal money I'd use their "instant tranfer" debit card to buy something like an amazon gift card or other things that I needed. Money was long gone before they received the part.

Man I really want to her an update but op hasnt logged in since 2/1. I really hope he didnt beat the shit out of this scammer...... and wind up in jail.
