Default procharger bypass

How do you know when it is time to upgrade from the normal black procharger bypass?

My D1SC has small amounts of procharger oil coming from the bypass.I recently did a pulley swap and see about 14# at my high shift points.I don't know if my bypass isn't keeping up and putting stress on the seal or the seal is just wearing out. What's odd is the oil level really hasn't gone down in the blower though[there is no pcv hooked to the blower].

At 14 psi I would upgrade from the Proflow to a larger bypass valve. Hard to say if it will help with your oil seepage but it certainly can't hurt. Bob

Bob- How much boost do you think the normal proflow valve can handle?

Also are the proflow bullet bypass's a good upgrade over the standard style like I have?

I don't hear a chatter when driving but I can get it to chatter if I rev it in neutral.Does the neutral rev chatter mean anything?

The Proflow is normally good up through 14 psi or so, you're on the borderline. The bullet valve isn't going to give you the additional flow that you would need. Bob

That can happen if the ProFlow valve isn't closing off as far as it should. There will always be an air gap when in the closed position, but we once had one that was not closing far enough, and we picked up two psi by swapping the valve out with another ProFlow. Bob
