ARRRGH!!! HVAC bulb broke and I can't get the rest out!
These two bulbs are my last interior bulbs to swap to complete my LED interior.
Left bulb broke, but I was able to extract it by yanking on the filaments.
RIGHT bulb broke and filaments broke off! I've been jabbing at the pieces with a knife and flathead screwdriver but can't get all of it out.
Any suggestions? Would it help if I cut the socket wires and tried to smash it out??? I'm open to anything at this point

Tweezers? It's what worked best for me.
What all is left in there?
Here's a write-up I did years ago on it: http://www.camarozone.com/replace-li...hvac-controls/

The red LED looks purty Just gotta get the blue side out
I didn't think about the tweezers, thanks for the tip! Not much left at all. If the tweezers don't do it I'm gonna post a photo and hit the salvage yards. Cutting and splicing in my future.

That's the EXACT write-up I followed; very informative and the reason why I wanted to install LED's in the HVAC.

*** UPDATE SOLUTION!!! ***
When all else fails; give it to a Woman!!! LOL!
I cut the sockets two wires, yellow and grey (be sure to leave enough wire exposed on the socket to splice it later), and took it upstairs.
Tweezers were an epic fail. Nothing to grab on to at the very bottom of the socket. Brenda said "give it to me and I'll get it out."
She then took the little socket to Her Workstation (room where Her Vanity is) and proceeded to use the tiniest little tools that only Women use for their makeup and skin care.
Less than 10 minutes later She was able to break out and remove ALL of the remaining glass in the socket!!!
Took it back to the car, spliced the wires, plugged in the blue LED and VOILA! IT WORKS!
Girls make excellent mechanics/electricians sometimes lol!
