Hey everyone I have a red 2001 Firebird with the Ram Air hood and high TA spoiler and I am looking into having the mirrors and roof painted black(not the top of the spoiler) as well as maybe putting on black stripes of some sort. Looking for people who have had the paint done or know a lot about it and how much it cost as well as suggestions on the type of stripes I should get. I've attached a pic of my car and what I'm aiming at it looking like. I'll also add that I may be getting black rims with a red lip. Any help would be great!

I'm no help but in MY opinion your car looks better than the black theme you're looking to achieve. Again, its my opinion. If I were you I would leave it as is. Simple and sexy.

I personally like the black top with the mirrors black on TAs, when I paint mine it's what I'm going to do, mines a red TA also.but either way you can't go wrong IMO

I paint for a living and that is what I'm gunna do to my T/A this winter. I would say for all the more you want, depending on the shop and how you want the stripes, 400-700. Chuck

I was in this same cituation not long ago. I chose to go with black top and left the mirrors orange. I'll post some pics up in a couple days when I pick her up

well i completed step one and installed the CETA bumper and i love it but now you guys have me rethinking the black top. I just think it looks more bad ass but you are right it looks sexier how it is. Not sure what look I want...

thank god you took those back wheels off. And you can always wrap the panel in black vinyl instead of painting it. reversible if you get bored with it ...
