Default Best place for custom harnesses

I bought a complete pullout from a 2000 2500HD and am putting it in a 1993 Camaro. I have the complete engine harness and ecu, I also am going to be running the 4L80E as well since it was a 2wd truck. I also just ordered an L92 motor from a local junkyard, so not quite sure what setup I will be running for the engine, but either way, where is the best place to send my harness to be modified for standalone function in the camaro?

You aren't going to have much luck using a Gen3 trans with a Gen4 engine/PCM. I suppose you could convert the L92 to non-VVT and run a 24x convertor and Gen3 harness, but that seems like a lot more hassle than just buying a Gen4 CAN/GMLAN controlled trans.

PSI Conversions and Speartech are good choices for a harness though.

I will be using a 24x setup with with the 6.2 or the 6.0 with the L92 top end.

Maybe I dont understand your question, but 2500 express van 2007/2008 came with vvt 6.0 and 4l80. That is base tune I am going to start with in my project.

Speartech has an excellent reputation for harness work if your looking to outsource that part of the job. John is very savvy and can mix and match various OS and engine/trans combos and even provide you with a base tune to get it going. I think this will be your best bet.

Also for ease of install and worry free goof proof operation a 24x system is a LOT easier to mix and match stuff with. The main reason is they use a PCM not the ECM/BCM/TCM with TOS that the gen 4's use.

You will have to ditch the VVT though by stepping down to the 24x system.

Also if your going to add a cam be very cautious as the L92 heads are sensitive to cams and need to be spec'd out carefully. Cant go wrong with PatG spec'ing you one if in doubt its not a lot more coin and eliminates the guess work.

will have to change wheel on 6.2 crank or use signal convertor (I think I've seen that somewhere) cheapest would be L92heads on 6.0 short block, but that seems like a step in the wrong direction. A buddy of mine just swapped in a 6.2 with existing t56 (he had 6.0) He used E38 computer and ditched the VVT. you could go that route and use a manual valve body/transbrake conversion w/manual trans tune in computer

Yeah, as I'm still not sure which setup I'm going to run, who knows. As of now, I have an LQ4, a 5.3, the L92 and an Lq9 core that I'm picking up next week. Pretty sure by the spring I'll be on the show "Hoarders".

I actually stripped the harness down today, if I had the pinout of the fusebox in the camaro and the fusebox from the truck, I could probably pull it off. I have lots of time so I may get some schematics and see how bad it is, if it seems to big of a job, I'll send it down to Speartech

I've seen several guys advertise $325-$350 but haven't seen their work. 4x4 guys like Richards performance for around the same price.
