Default Traction Performance Button

Do all LS1 Trans Am's come with that Performance button. I don't remember the name but I think it's called the Traction Performance. What is it for??

It's the traction control button. It cuts power and throttle when it detects wheelspin.

Could he be talking about the transmission "performance" button that firms up the shifts -I think it was a Pontiac only feature for a couple of years - any info on that?

My 94 LT1 Formula had the transmission perform button that held gear longer, gave harder shifts, and downshifted more readily. I liked it. I think they got rid of that feature in 96 or 97.

ls1's are always in performance mode unless you put 87 in them.
