Default Wideband/Gauge questions

Going to be installing a wet 150 shot on my h/c car. As it sits right now I have no gauges for monitoring whats going on. Thinking about adding a wideband to the car.

Which one are you guys running, which one is the best value?

Also thinking about adding:

Water temp
Oil pressure
Fuel pressure

I know there are digital and analog gauges out there, whats the difference (they look to be the same).

Mods if this is the wrong section I apologize and please move it to the appropriate section.

Wideband and Fuel pressure are probably all you need, Maybe a bottle pressure as well.

I was under the impression that the stock oil pressure and water temp gauges were not very accurate. Bottle pressure will be mounted on switch plate

Unless they do recording during your run, you wont be looking at much of anything while you are floored. So any other gauge is not really worth anything. At a glance, you can see fuel stuff. It is nice to have a nitrous controller that monitors things for you automatically, that way if there is an issue and you dont catch it, it will for you.

The oil pressure gauge, All you would use that for is in the event of a rod or bearing failure to see they are bad. You can do that with the gauge in your dash. Oil pressure cant be changed via a tune, and is only hardware based, so, since it cant be changed, the stock one in your dash should be fine.

Water temp, you just make sure you have a good thermostat, radiator, and pump. The Dash one will jump to over heat when it gets hot. You cant change much with that as long as your fan settings are right. If it gets hot, it is going to get hot.. That can be logged in software. So during your runs would be a better choice to just log it with the scan tool for review.

What wideband is most popular?

Also, for the fuel gauge what is the difference in short sweep and full sweep?

We prefer a higher quality unit, like a controller that uses NTk, but, for the most people out there, just a dual channel LM2 unit, with bosch sensors will do just fine. Dual channel allows you to watch both banks at the same time.

Short sweep vs full sweep is just how much besides how detailed the info is on the gauge. Most people choose the short as it is cheaper, but it boils down to user preference.

I was using the AEM wideband unit. It worked nicely for my HCI setup. If I was getting into spray I would do as wait4me suggested and use AEM or LM2 units with the dual bosch sensors. It is pricey but that is a crucial point to monitor NA or FI.

I'm putting the dual channel FAST in my car but we also sell a lot of the AEMs and Innovate's. If you need a deal on any of these PM me for special pricing.

Awesome stuff guys, the fast unit seems to be a good deal, comes with 2 sensors and a data logger.
