Twin Screw Blowers
has anyone had or known someone to have a twin screw blower build in a fourth gen fbody that fit under the cowl? or did something to make it fit? i have an ls2 in a 98 z28 but apparently its impossible to have a blower.

LMspeed makes one. mild cutting on the cowl is needed. overall the low tq will be nice, but at the cost of a bitch of an install, and the kit is selling for 7k outright. its not impossible by any means. But noone is jumping to swap a4 to m6 either. heres a vid for reference. maybe itll lead you to whatever it is your looking for. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fAS1...eature=related

This is a topic that seems to come up once a week in here lately.
Due to height issues with the cowl in a 4th gen, your options are limited to the size of the blower you can run, and how much cutting of the cowl, and lowering of the engine you need to do. Ultimately, it's a lot of money, effort, and time spent to get not much return.

well alright then. blowers are out of the question then. only reason people ask about them is cause people want something different.. and these are uncommon and i see why. haha thanks. here comes a typical 402 build with spray.

i have to agree with allout. n20 is fine for the weekend warrior on a budget, but if you are serious and want to grow go with boost. sure n20 racing is the most popular, and the tq is immense, but boost....its so much more rewarding. the sounds it makes, the feel of the boost coming on, etc....its just pretty much the most fun mod you can do. nitrous on a carb'd car comes on strong...you can feel the "HIT" but in our cars its no quite as prominent. and also n20 runs out....I can not stand when I ask someone how much hp they made on a dyno tune, and they say "oh it has 643rwhp and 665rwtq" and I immediately ask is that on spray! they say yes and im like....so what are the real numbers. nitrous is temporary and it runs out. boost is there period.
