Default Build/rebuild help

I started gathering parts for my budget 4.8/fox coupe project. Last night I pulled the stock cam out so I could install a TR224. After I got the stocker out I inspected the cam bearings and I can see patches of brass on all of them. So what are my options?
Install new cam bearings and let it eat?
Pull a main cap and see if those have damage? If.they look good can I reuse the main bolt?
Try and find a 5.3 or 6.0 and make the 4.8 into a boat anchor?

Thanks for any and all help

Matt

Instead of paying for it be machined I would go the boat anchor route and find a nice 5.3 or 6.0

5.3s are dirt cheap these days, my next build whenever my motor goes will be 5.3/turbo build dont think anyone has ever done that lol
